St. John’s Grade 11 student Matthieu has been spending the week at IE University in Madrid as one of only 16 students selected from around the world, out of more than 300 applications, to be part of the IE Junior Advisory Board. Candidates were selected on academics, leadership and service achievements. Other participating students are from Japan, China, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Turkey, Mozambique, South Africa, Brazil, United States, Canada, Mexico, Nicaragua, Ukraine, and Germany. Matthieu speaks 4 languages, holds Canadian, Dutch and American citizenship and has been at St. John’s since grade 2.
The Junior Advisory Board met this week for workshops with IE professors and corporate experts to develop different tools and share ideas about the future of higher education, culminating in a presentation today to the IE International Board of Directors, which consists of senior executives of Citibank, Volkswagen, Santander, IBM, World Bank and others.
We congratulate Matthieu on this fantastic learning experience!
