First lab coat experience for Grade 6

Our grade 6 students had their first pre-lab activity yesterday and they were absolutely delighted. It was an opportunity for them to learn how to use some of the equipment in the lab to measure quantitative data. There were multiple stations set up. They used a triple beam balance and a digital balance to measure the mass of solids. They also learned to how to use a graduated cylinder to measure the volume of liquids. They were not using any hazardous chemicals, nevertheless, it did not stop them from having their lab coats and goggles on. Don’t you think our little scientists looked great in their science gear?
